How to prepare
Come with an empty stomach: do not eat for 6 hours before the scan, and avoid sweet or fizzy drinks and chewing gum. A little water is fine. Take your usual medicines as normal.
How the scan goes
The scan is done by radiologist Dr Povilas Žudys on a top-class Samsung RS85 EVO ultrasound machine.
A little gel goes on the skin and the probe glides gently over the area. The scan does not hurt and uses no radiation.
The doctor explains the results straight after the scan. A written report with the scan images is included in the price.
